My Story: Dreams Over Trials

Hey, I’m Anthony — @dot.tonyy from Washington DC.I know what it feels like when your voice gets silenced. I lost my parents at a young age, faced bullying that made me feel small and judged, and in 2024 I lost my brother to gun violence. Those trials taught me how heavy guilt can be — the guilt of being “too loud,” “too emotional,” or just too different.At 10 years old I picked up a camera as an outlet. I started making videos to create a space where I could finally express myself without fear. Basketball became part of that journey too — a place where I could channel energy and tell stories. But life kept testing me. I would force content, chase virality, and then shrink again when the guilt hit. In September 2025 I made a decision: no more dimming my voice. I’ve been consistent ever since.Dreams Over Trials isn’t just a name. It’s the promise I made to myself and to every silenced voice out there — your personality was never the problem. It was waiting to be set free. Through self-expression coaching, emotional support, and real conversations (often on the court), I help athletes, creators, and anyone who’s been told to shrink finally speak, create, and build an authentic brand by using your pain and silence to your greatest advantage, witch is to embrace it.This work is personal.
